Charlie is in his 17th year as an independent school college counselor and his 24th as a lacrosse coach. After playing Division 1 men’s lacrosse at Hobart College, Charlie served as an Assistant Coach in Massachusetts high school lacrosse before becoming a Graduate Assistant coach at Springfield College. Charlie served as the Offensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator for his two year term, earning his Master of Education in the process. He helped the team to a conference championship and developed a USILA All-American as well as the conference Rookie of the Year. Charlie then joined Cape Henry Collegiate in southeastern Virginia, serving as a College Counselor and the Head Coach of the boys lacrosse program, a role he held for 10 years. Competing in the Division 1 level of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) as well as the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools (TCIS), Charlie led the program to its first conference championship in a decade in 2011 and won three conference championships overall, along with multiple VISAA state tournament appearances. Charlie developed multiple All-Conference and All-State players and served as the point person for collegiate recruiting for Cape Henry’s boys lacrosse program, placing multiple players at the Division 1, 2 and 3 levels. Charlie is currently the Head Coach of the girls lacrosse program and Associate Director of College Advising at the Williston Northampton School in western Massachusetts. Competing in the competitive New England Private School Athletic Council (NEPSAC), Charlie has led the team to two Western New England Class B Championships along with two 2nd place finishes, and he has placed multiple players at the Division 1 and 3 levels. During his 17 year career in independent schools, Charlie has served as a College Counselor, Assistant Director of College Counseling and now the Associate Director of College Advising. He has additionally served as Dean of Students and Assistant Athletic Director, and he is well versed in all aspects of high school academics, the college search and application process, collegiate athletic recruiting, and lacrosse evaluation in the boys and girls game.
